About us

A doorway to genuine connections and moments that come once.

Manoir Blackswan gathers a small circle of people who share a taste for elegance, a respect for tradition and the art of true encounters. From private experiences to members-only evenings, the estate offers a setting where lasting bonds are formed with exceptional people, and where every season brings its share of moments that only come around once.

75

Seventy-five members gathered around a single residence. Enough for every season to feel alive, few enough for every face to be familiar.

What you join

Membership rests on four foundations.

01

The place

The entire estate, with year-round access, thirty minutes from Montreal. The tangible thing, the first reason to come.

02

The calendar

Open houses, signature evenings, intimate dinners, family Sundays. The estate becomes a life, not a vacation rental.

03

The circle

Members chosen for their human quality, their elegance and their ambition. The true luxury of the estate is the people you meet there.

04

The exclusivity

Seventy-five members. A waiting list. The circle grows only as the estate does.

The estate

Where the Cercle takes root.

A 6,500 square foot colonial residence, designed and built by Emmanuel Hébert on half an acre in the historic quarter of Châteauguay. Seven bedrooms, two dining rooms, a chef's kitchen, an in-ground pool and gardens that welcome one hundred guests under the tent, from May to October.

The Members

Who the Cercle is for.

  • Someone for whom belonging is self-evident, never a calculation. The commitment goes without saying; it is never the subject.
  • Someone who intends to show up, not merely to sign up. An estate is filled by presence, not by memberships.
  • Someone who treats the estate as a place to inhabit, not to exploit. What separates a resident from a customer.
  • Someone who comes to grow others as much as themselves. Professionally or culturally, it is the reason Manoir Blackswan exists.

The walls do not make the estate. The members it gathers do. The principle of the Cercle

Weddings

Getting married with accommodation, thirty minutes from Montreal

In every wedding there comes a moment, around midnight, when the goodbyes have to start. Here, it never comes.

On Friday afternoon the gate closes behind your guests and does not open again until Sunday. From May to October, a handful of times a year, the estate answers to one name only, and it is yours.

Seven bedrooms wait for the people closest to you. Two dining rooms, gardens that hold a hundred guests under the tent, and the time to properly settle in. Then the light drops, the candles take over, and those sleeping here never watch the clock: there is only a staircase between the party and their bed.

In the morning they wake where the party ended. Coffee is taken on the terrace in pyjamas, the night is retold to those who went to bed, and Sunday stretches out with nothing to hurry it. That is what a wedding with accommodation means. Thirty minutes from Montreal, there are very few of them.

The estate keeps its own address book: the caterers, the chefs and the artisans who have already proven themselves under this roof. You draw from it freely, and the heaviest part of the planning disappears. If there is someone you care about who is not on it, introduce us. We turn no one away in advance, but we meet everyone: what happens here carries our name as much as yours.

What we are asked

Frequently asked questions.

You join the Cercle by application, but nothing about it is an anonymous form. An application opens a conversation, then a meeting with the estate. We welcome those who carry ambition and passion, whatever their path. Visionary, creator or explorer, Manoir Blackswan is for anyone seeking rare experiences and true connections. The Conseil du Domaine watches over the character of the Manoir; it does not sort fortunes.

Seventy-five members, a fixed ceiling. The first twenty-five are the Founders. The ceiling rises only as the estate itself does.

Year-round access to the estate, the calendar of gatherings, the ability to reserve the estate for your own use, and belonging to seventy-five chosen households. Founder rates are fixed for the duration of the membership.

Yes. Weddings remain the only offering open to the public, on a limited number of weekends each year. It is the only occasion when the estate opens beyond its members. See weddings.

The invitation

The founding cohort
gathers this fall.

We are not inviting buyers. We are inviting people who already recognize themselves in what the estate offers. If that is you, write to us. The conversation starts there.
